Oxenwood Centre gains approval for expansion to enhance outdoor education and accessibility.
The Oxenwood Outdoor Education Centre in Wiltshire has received planning approval for a major redevelopment aimed at upgrading facilities, improving accessibility, and enabling year-round use.
Saved from closure in 2018 by a community campaign with over 16,000 signatures, the site was acquired in 2019 by the charity Community First, which is now raising funds through The Oxenwood Appeal.
The project, designed with Batterham Smith Architects, will expand activity spaces and incorporate sustainable features to support outdoor learning programs in archery, climbing, and bushcraft for schools and youth groups across Wiltshire, Hampshire, and West Berkshire.
