NMDC lowered iron ore prices by ₹550–₹500/tonne on Oct. 22, 2025, amid domestic market pressure.
India’s state-owned NMDC has cut iron ore prices by ₹550 and ₹500 per tonne for lump and fines, effective October 22, 2025, setting new rates at ₹5,550 and ₹4,750 per tonne, inclusive of certain fees but excluding taxes.
The move follows a previous adjustment in August and reflects ongoing pressure in the domestic steel market.
As India’s largest iron ore producer, NMDC contributes about 20% of national output and aims for a record 55 million tonnes in the fiscal year, with production and sales up significantly in the first half.
