New Zealand's Fuller and O’Dea qualify for 2025 World Beach Volleyball Championships, first men’s team since 2015.
Tauranga’s Brad Fuller and Ben O’Dea have qualified for the 2025 World Beach Volleyball Championships in Adelaide, becoming the first New Zealand men’s beach volleyball team to do so since 2015.
The duo secured their spot through strong international performances, including a win at a Futures event in Mount Maunganui and top finishes in Asia.
They will compete against teams from Cuba, Portugal, and Benin, aiming to build momentum toward the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
The Beach Ferns, Shaunna Polley and Olivia MacDonald, also qualified, marking the first time a New Zealand women’s team has done so since 2001.
Both teams credit growing local development in Mount Maunganui, support from Sport New Zealand, and high-performance coaching for their progress.
Fuller y O'Dea de Nueva Zelanda se clasifican para el Campeonato Mundial de Voleibol de Playa 2025, el primer equipo masculino desde 2015.
