Islamabad High Court to rule on Imran Khan's jail visitation rights and jurisdictional disputes.
The Islamabad High Court will hear 11 petitions on Thursday regarding visitation rights for incarcerated former Prime Minister Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, including one by newly elected Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi seeking access to discuss governance and cabinet formation.
A larger bench, led by Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir, will address jurisdictional disputes between Islamabad and Punjab over the jail, dismissing prior objections on grounds of fresh legal circumstances due to the unconstituted provincial cabinet.
The court has directed multiple officials to respond by October 23.
This follows a March ruling reinstating Khan’s twice-weekly visits, limited to approved individuals and prohibiting post-meeting media statements.
The same three-judge bench will consolidate and hear all related petitions on visitation and jail conditions.
El Tribunal Superior de Islamabad dictaminará sobre los derechos de visita de Imran Khan a la cárcel y las disputas jurisdiccionales.
