Cork-based band Cardinals have released the single "The Burning of Cork," inspired by the 1920 British Army attack on the city, as the second track from their debut album *Masquerade*, due February 13, 2026.
The song, described as their heaviest work yet, is accompanied by a video directed by Greg Purcell.
The 10-track album, recorded with producer Shrink at London’s RAK Studios, blends indie, goth-rock, and Irish folk elements.
The band, formed by brothers Euan and Finn Manning, is touring the UK and Ireland with NewDad before a European headline tour beginning in November.
The album will be available on vinyl, CD, and cassette, including exclusive editions.
