The Indian Army is set to order 2,408 Nag Mark 2 anti-tank missiles and 107 NAMICA 2 vehicles after successful January 2025 trials at Pokhran, where the fire-and-forget missiles hit targets at all ranges. Developed by DRDO and produced by Bharat Dynamics Limited, the upgraded system includes user-suggested improvements and is now ready for induction. Approval is expected from the Defence Acquisition Council on October 23, 2025, marking a major step in India’s defense self-reliance push under the 'Make in India' initiative, supported by top military and government leaders.
