Speaking alongside exiled leader Svetlana Tsikhanovskaya, he called for sustained EU support, including backing for political prisoners and democratic institutions.
The European Parliament passed a resolution condemning Belarus’s repression, rejecting Alexander Lukashenko’s legitimacy, and demanding free elections under international oversight.
It also expressed concern over Russia’s military buildup in Belarus and called for stronger sanctions and protection for exiled activists.
