Bangladesh's interim government says it remains neutral ahead of a referendum, with no plans for a caretaker setup.
The interim government in Bangladesh, led by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, is maintaining neutrality in public administration, according to Law Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul, who confirmed no plans to reduce the advisory council or establish a caretaker government before the upcoming referendum.
Political parties have made conflicting claims of bias, which Nazrul cited as evidence of impartiality.
He praised the armed forces for cooperating with the International Crimes Tribunal, including military personnel appearing in cases tied to the July Mass Uprising.
The National Citizen Party reiterated that a caretaker government will only be considered after the referendum and stressed the need for a clear justice roadmap and victim protection ahead of elections.
