The Assam State School Education Board has announced the 2026 Higher Secondary Final Examinations will be held in February–March 2026, with online registration open from October 22 to November 25, 2025. Students must apply via the official portal, and late submissions will not be accepted. Regular candidates must attend recognized institutions; others are classified as Institutional Private or Non-Institutional Private candidates and may face additional fees. Eligible students can apply for improvement, re-appearance, or compartmental exams, with up to four subjects allowed under the improvement scheme. A new mark sheet will be issued after surrendering the old one. Fee exemptions apply for students from low-income families. The board emphasized timely and accurate submissions, with principals held accountable for ensuring no eligible student is excluded.
