Advance Metals appoints silver expert David O’Connor as chairman to boost development of Mexican and Australian projects amid rising silver prices and strong exploration results.
Advance Metals named David O’Connor, a 40-year mining veteran with expertise in silver exploration, as its new non-executive chairman to lead development of its Mexican and Australian projects.
His appointment follows a $13 million capital raise and comes as the company advances drilling at its Yoquivo, Guadalupe y Calvo, and Gavilanes sites, which hold an estimated 100 million ounces of silver equivalent.
Recent drilling at Yoquivo returned high-grade results up to 2063g/t silver equivalent.
The company aims to double its resource estimates to 200 million ounces, supported by new data and increased drilling activity.
With silver prices nearing $50 an ounce and strong demand, Advance Metals is expanding its exploration efforts in Mexico, the world’s top silver producer.
