Xiamora Weeks, a 37-year-old Irondequoit woman, was arrested after falsely reporting a kidnapping of herself and her two young children, ages 2 and 4, triggering a high-speed police chase across Greece, Rochester, and Irondequoit. Authorities located her vehicle in Greece, where multiple individuals entered it before it fled at high speed, prompting a pursuit involving spike strips and multiple law enforcement agencies. The chase ended at her home on Birchwood Drive, where Weeks and another adult were arrested. The children were found unharmed in the back seat. Police confirmed the kidnapping report was unsubstantiated. Weeks faces multiple charges, including reckless endangerment, child endangerment, and fleeing law enforcement. The children were released to family, and Child Protective Services was notified. An arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
