The bereavement charity 2wish has expanded its support services to Wiltshire and six other English counties—Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, and Merseyside—following a visit from Prince William. Founded in 2012 after its founder lost her baby son and husband to suicide, the charity offers immediate emotional and practical help to families grieving sudden loss of a child or young adult. It now partners with NHS England, police, and hospitals to provide support in emergency and critical care units, with staff embedded in communities to meet growing demand. The expansion builds on services already active in Wales since 2012 and parts of England since 2024, bringing the total number of families supported to over 9,500. 2wish continues to advocate for timely, compassionate care to address the lasting mental health impact of sudden bereavement.
