The Viking Vigor construction vessel's delivery is delayed to Q3 2026 due to technical issues.
The delivery of the next-generation construction support vessel Viking Vigor, being built in Turkey for Eidesvik Offshore and Agalas, has been delayed to the third quarter of 2026 from early 2026.
The 99.9-meter vessel, featuring a battery hybrid system and methanol-fueled propulsion, will support offshore wind and subsea operations with a 150-tonne crane and space for 100 people.
It will be owned by Eidesvik Agalas AS with Eidesvik holding a 50.1% stake and enter a three- to five-year time charter with Reach Subsea.
A second similar vessel, ordered in early 2025, is set for delivery in spring 2027 under a five-year charter with two one-year extension options.
Reach Subsea has also extended the charter of its vessel Olympic Triton through February 2027.
