Veteran WR Tyler Lockett released by Titans after 10 receptions, 70 yards in seven games.
Veteran wide receiver Tyler Lockett has been released by the Tennessee Titans after requesting his release, which the team granted. The 33-year-old, signed to a one-year, $4 million deal, recorded just 10 receptions for 70 yards in seven games with one start, and was largely inactive. His most notable play was a fumble recovery for a touchdown in the Titans’ only win this season. Lockett, a former All-Pro and Pro Bowler with the Seattle Seahawks, had at least 40 receptions in each of his 10 seasons there and four 1,000-yard campaigns. He becomes a free agent Wednesday evening, with potential landing spots including the Raiders, Steelers, and 49ers.
