Romania has offered to host the EU Maritime Security Hub during a Black Sea security meeting on October 20, 2025, as part of the EU’s new Strategic Approach to the region. Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu emphasized the need for swift implementation of security and connectivity projects amid ongoing tensions from Russia’s war in Ukraine.
