A Rochester woman was sentenced to five years in prison, suspended, for stealing a car and damaging another in February 2025.
A 45-year-old Rochester woman was sentenced in October 2025 after being found guilty of felony motor vehicle theft and first-degree property damage. The crimes occurred in February when she stole a vehicle left running outside a bar, then rammed it into a parked car four times before abandoning it. Surveillance footage captured the incidents, and she was later seen returning to the bar and entering a vehicle with Wisconsin plates linked to a residence in Holmen. She received a five-year prison term that is stayed, meaning she won’t serve time if she meets court conditions, and was ordered to pay $5,665.53 in restitution. The trial concluded in August 2025.
