On October 21, 2025, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of misleading Bihar’s people by citing land shortages as a barrier to industrial growth, dismissing Shah’s push for low-land-use sectors like AI and software.
Shah, speaking in Patna, pledged to transform Bihar into an industrial hub under a future NDA government, calling it "Bihar 3.0," and blamed former Chief Minister Lalu Yadav’s rule for decades of decline.
He also criticized the current opposition for continuing a legacy of misrule.
In response, the RJD finalized its candidate list for 143 seats, though the JMM withdrew from the Mahagathbandhan alliance.
The 243-seat Bihar Assembly elections are set for November 6 and 11, with results on November 14.
