PPC Group starts 50 MW/200 MWh battery project in Greece, part of 860 MW storage plan, creating over 1,300 jobs.
PPC Group has started construction on a 50 MW, 200 MWh battery storage project in Amyntaio, Greece, using liquid-cooled lithium iron phosphate batteries, part of a broader plan for up to 860 MW of storage across Northern Greece, including major pumped-storage projects.
The initiative, alongside two other Greek battery stations and a 25 MW/55 MWh project in Bulgaria, aims to boost grid stability, support renewable integration, and create over 1,300 construction jobs.
