Māori advocate Lady Tureiti Moxon reappointed to Tapuwae Roa board to support urban Māori education and workforce development.
Lady Tureiti Moxon, a Māori health and welfare advocate with an honorary doctorate from the University of Waikato, has been reappointed to the board of Tapuwae Roa, a New Zealand trust supporting urban Māori through education and workforce development.
Her return strengthens the organization’s focus on underserved Māori communities, particularly those not affiliated with iwi.
Moxon, who previously served on the board in 2017 and chairs the National Urban Māori Authority, brings decades of experience in community-led initiatives.
She succeeds Kate Cherrington and joins Chair Maria Ngawati and other directors in advancing the trust’s mission amid ongoing fiscal and systemic challenges.
