A 69-year-old man from Port Angeles was hospitalized with a neck stab wound after a car theft and stabbing incident in the Sequim area on Sunday, October 20, 2025. He had picked up a family with seven children, ages 6 months to 9 years, near Deer Park on Highway 101. The stolen blue Lexus RX300 was later found abandoned in Kitsap County with the family inside, a bloody knife recovered from the father’s pocket, and blood in the vehicle. Both parents, a 30-year-old father and 29-year-old mother, were arrested on charges including possession of a stolen vehicle and reckless endangerment related to domestic violence. The children were placed in protective custody and referred to Child Protective Services. The victim was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center and remained in critical condition.
