A magnitude 1.6 earthquake struck near Califon, New Jersey, on October 20, 2025, at 2:46 p.m., centered about 1.2 miles east-northeast of the town and 3.1 miles below the surface.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported eight people felt the tremor, described as weak shaking similar to passing trucks, with no damage or injuries reported.
