Kerala High Court to screen 'Haal' on Oct. 25 to review CBFC’s cuts, citing artistic freedom and religious concerns.
The Kerala High Court will screen the Malayalam film 'Haal' on October 25 to assess challenges to the CBFC’s decision to grant an A certificate with cuts, including scenes involving beef biryani and religiously sensitive content.
Directed by debutant Veer and starring Shane Nigam, the film’s release was delayed from September 12.
The court, presided over by Justice V.G.
Arun, will evaluate whether the cuts infringe on artistic freedom, with the Catholic Congress allowed to intervene over concerns about depictions of a bishop.
The case, set for further hearing on October 30, could influence future film certification standards in India.
El Tribunal Superior de Kerala proyectará 'Haal' el 25 de octubre para revisar los recortes de CBFC, citando la libertad artística y las preocupaciones religiosas.
