Joe Walsh and Zac Brown have been named mega mentors for Season 28 of NBC’s The Voice, joining the coaching panel ahead of the October 27 Knockout Round. Walsh, a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and former Eagles member, will mentor artists on Niall Horan and Reba McEntire’s teams, while Brown, frontman of the Grammy-winning Zac Brown Band, will guide contestants from Michael Bublé’s and Snoop Dogg’s teams. Each coach has eight artists competing, with only one advancing to the Playoffs due to no saves or steals. A new “Mic Drop” button allows coaches to spotlight standout performances, with viewers voting for the winner, who earns a spot at the 2026 Rose Parade. The season continues to draw strong viewership, with nearly 22 million viewers across platforms.
