An 18-year-old Fremont, Iowa, student, Korbin Daniel Durbin, was arrested on October 17, 2025, after an incident at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont High School on October 7, where he allegedly sprayed a teacher with a fire extinguisher, threw personal items, and damaged school property.
He turned himself in, posted bond, and was released.
Durbin faces multiple misdemeanor charges, including simple assault, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and harassment.
The incident prompted a school evacuation and temporary closure.
Authorities confirmed the arrest and release on October 21, with a court appearance scheduled for October 23.
A prior incident in September involving an assault on a staff member is also under investigation.
