India appoints election observers for Hyderabad by-election amid tight security and scrutiny.
The Election Commission of India has appointed three observers—Ranjit Kumar Singh, Om Prakash Tripathy, and Sanjiv Kumar Lal—for the November 11 Jubilee Hills by-election in Hyderabad, to ensure a fair and transparent process.
The observers will oversee general arrangements, law and order, and election expenditure, with the Model Code of Conduct enforced across eight by-elections in seven states and Union Territories.
Nominations closed on October 21, with vote counting on November 14 and results by November 16.
The Congress, BRS, and BJP are contesting, while AIMIM is supporting the Congress candidate.
