FAW Jiefang, China’s oldest truck manufacturer, is rapidly expanding globally, achieving a 58.3% year-on-year increase in overseas sales in early 2025, driven by growth in Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Mexico.
The company, which holds a 23.2% share of China’s medium- and heavy-duty truck market, established a global operations hub in August 2024, enabling localized presence through new subsidiaries in countries like Indonesia and Mexico.
It now operates in 100 countries, supported by 127 primary dealers, nearly 300 distributors, and 23 assembly plants across 14 nations.
FAW Jiefang is developing “born-global” trucks designed for multiple markets simultaneously, incorporating region-specific features, and offering a full-service “Chinese solution” in competitive markets like Indonesia, including data-driven testing, on-site support, and pre-positioned parts.
