A dog attack inside a Rochester home early Tuesday morning injured four people, including a 1-year-old infant, prompting police to shoot and kill the animal. Officers arrived around 1:50 a.m. to find the dog trapped in the backyard with its paw caught in a door. After it freed itself and approached officers aggressively, attempting to climb a barricade, it was euthanized to ensure public safety. The victims, two adults and two children, were treated for non-life-threatening bite wounds and scratches at Strong Memorial Hospital. The dog’s breed and ownership remain unknown.
