Battery Hill farm in NSW, selling for over $20M, uses 3,824 ML water yearly for cotton, sorghum, and wheat.
Battery Hill, a 893-hectare irrigated farm in NSW’s Liverpool Plains, is for sale with expressions of interest closing November 28.
The property, which grows cotton, sorghum, and wheat using flood, pivot, and lateral irrigation, draws 3,824 megalitres of water annually from groundwater, the Mooki River, and floodplain harvesting.
It features 618 hectares of irrigated land, three storage dams, and infrastructure including a homestead, cottage, silos, and workshops.
Marketed by Sam Leys, the farm is expected to sell for over $20 million.
