A 25-year-old Park Rapids man, Elijah Hensel, suffered a severe head injury Saturday morning, October 18, when a demolition derby car he was working on fell off a jack and pinned his head beneath it at a garage on County Highway 73. Emergency responders and bystanders lifted the vehicle, allowing Hensel to be airlifted to a St. Cloud hospital. The Otter Tail Sheriff’s Office confirmed the incident, but no details on his condition or the cause of the fall were released.
