A UK-based startup, Peequal, has raised £925,000 in new funding, bringing its total to £1.4 million, to expand its women’s urinals to events across Europe, the US, and Australia.
The flatpacked, stackable design allows nearly three times more units per transport, cutting emissions and road congestion.
The urinals are 2.7 times faster than traditional portable toilets and have been used 1.25 million times at events including Glastonbury and the London Marathon.
Improvements include flippable signs, better splashback protection, and easier drainage.
Founded by Amber Probyn and Hazel McShane, the female-led company is backed by investors focused on gender equality and sustainability.
