GambleAware Week, October 20–26, is a New South Wales campaign highlighting that gambling harms mental health, relationships, and wellbeing beyond finances.
Supported by the Office of Responsible Gambling, it promotes free, confidential help via helpline, online services, and local counselling.
Recent data shows nearly 4,200 people received support through over 20,000 counselling sessions, with more than 9,500 helpline contacts.
Services include one-on-one support, peer networks, financial advice, and culturally appropriate care.
A $20.7 million funding boost ensures continued access, especially during high-risk sports events.
Help is available 24/7 at 1800 858 858 or gambleaware.nsw.gov.au.
