The Northern Territory has nominated four individuals for Australian of the Year 2026 for their community impact.
The Northern Territory has named four individuals as its 2026 Australian of the Year nominees: Adam Drake, founder of the Balanced Choice Program supporting youth and prisoners; Tanya Egerton, who launched the Remote OpShop Project to boost economic opportunities in remote First Nations communities; Dr. Felix Ho, a volunteer paramedic and youth program leader with St John Ambulance; and Jonah Ryan, an Indigenous land manager focused on cultural and environmental stewardship.
The NT finalists will be announced on November 3 in Darwin, with the national winners to be revealed on January 25, 2026, in Canberra.
The National Australia Day Council and media partner ACM are supporting the event, which honors individuals driving community resilience, equity, and social change.
