Holcim to buy German builder Xella for €1.85B, expanding sustainable building solutions.
Holcim has agreed to acquire German walling systems manufacturer Xella for €1.85 billion, aiming to expand its sustainable building solutions portfolio.
The deal, expected to close in the second half of 2026, is accretive to Holcim’s earnings and free cash flow from the first year and includes €60 million in annual cost synergies by year three.
Xella, known for brands like Ytong and Hebel, generated about €1 billion in sales in 2025 and employs over 4,000 people across 21 European markets.
