Carla Taylor won Cumbria's 2025 Best Early Years Provider award for her innovative teaching and family engagement.

Carla Taylor, Early Years Foundation Stage Lead at Petteril Bank Primary School, won the 2025 Best Early Years Provider award at the Golden Apple Awards, recognizing her innovative impact on young children’s learning and development. The ceremony, held on October 9 at Carlisle Racecourse, honored top educators across Cumbria. Taylor was commended for her dedication, strong family engagement, and fostering a love of learning. Runners-up included St James' Infant and Nursery School and Jackie Atkinson from First Friends Nursery. Winners were featured in a regional newspaper supplement on October 22 and 23.
