The African Democratic Congress suspended its South-South vice chairman on Oct. 15 over anti-party conduct and internal disputes.
The African Democratic Congress suspended its National Vice Chairman for the South-South, Dr. Usani Uguru Usani, effective October 15, 2025, over allegations of anti-party activities, insubordination, and actions harming party unity and electoral prospects.
The Cross River State Chapter’s State Working Committee made the decision after reviewing multiple petitions and reports, citing violations of the party constitution.
The committee also criticized the national appointment of Ms. Jackie Wayas as Deputy National Publicity Secretary, calling it unconsultative and questioning her loyalty to the region.
It urged coalition members to complete ward-level registration by October 25 or face exclusion from leadership roles.
The suspension remains in effect pending formal disciplinary proceedings.
