Two 16- and 15-year-old boys from Maroondah were charged with attempted carjacking after police intervened during two incidents on Seymour Street in Ringwood around 11:15 p.m. on October 18, 2025. Officers responded to a tip, arresting both suspects; one fled and was tased, but no injuries occurred. A separate incident later that night involved up to four individuals confronting a food delivery driver on Lester Avenue, with one allegedly brandishing a knife and demanding keys. The driver escaped unharmed, and suspects fled in a missing Toyota Yaris. Police are investigating the events as connected and continue seeking information.
