The Department of Posts has transformed 47,358 postal sites—about 38% of India’s 125,000 post offices—under its Special Campaign 5.0 Swachhata drive, resolving over 57,961 public grievances, freeing 13,049 square feet of space via digitization, and reviewing 32,249 files.
The initiative, which includes 4,952 Dak Chaupals and revenue of Rs 32.48 lakh from scrap sales, also boosted cleanliness through wall art and recycling efforts.
The second phase will focus on sustaining gains and improving accountability.
