The Consumer Council of Fiji conducted 353 spot checks ahead of Diwali in Suva, Lautoka, and Labasa, uncovering expired or contaminated food, tampered labels, damaged goods, and misleading advertising.
Some retailers received warnings for failing to meet safety and labeling standards.
