A woman in her 50s was airlifted with serious injuries after crashing into a kangaroo on a NSW road.

A motorcyclist in her 50s was airlifted to Westmead Hospital after colliding with a kangaroo on Cargo Road, 35 km southwest of Orange, NSW, on Saturday, October 18, at about 10:45 a.m. NSW Ambulance, police, and the NSW Rural Fire Service responded. She sustained head and shoulder injuries and was in stable but serious condition when transported by TOLL Rescue Helicopter. Cargo Road was briefly closed but has since reopened.
