The U.S. Treasury removed four associates of former Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik from its sanctions list on October 17, 2025, including Jelena Pajic Bastinac, Danijel Dragicevic, Goran Rakovic, and Dijana Milankovic.
They were originally sanctioned in January for organizing a banned "Republika Srpska Day" event.
The move follows Dodik’s removal from office after a court sentenced him to jail or a fine for defying an international peace envoy, and comes amid efforts to ease sanctions on him and his allies.
The U.S. did not explain the decision, which is seen as part of a broader shift linked to political changes in the region.
