Two suspects broke into Atlanta’s Alex’s Package Store, stealing $28K and valuables, police say.

Atlanta police are investigating a pre-dawn burglary at Alex’s Package Store on Campbellton Road, where two suspects broke through the back cinderblock wall with a sledgehammer around 5:20 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025. The thieves stole over $28,000 in cash, at least 14 cases of liquor, and more than 60 cartons of cigarettes, leaving a damaged safe and scattered debris. Surveillance footage shows them carrying stolen goods through the hole, and a silver Toyota Camry with license plate CZB9958 was seen nearby. The store has since boarded up the breach. Authorities are seeking public tips, offering rewards up to $5,000 through Crime Stoppers Atlanta.
