Former Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist hailed India’s Jasprit Bumrah as a “freak of nature” ahead of the T20I series in Australia, praising his 31 wickets at 13.06 in the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Bumrah, sidelined for the ODIs due to workload management and a back stress reaction, will return for the five T20Is starting October 29.
His comeback follows strong showings in the IPL, England Tests, Asia Cup, and West Indies series.
India’s chief selector Ajit Agarkar confirmed the team is monitoring Bumrah and other fast bowlers like Mohammed Siraj to prevent injury.
