Jaromir Jagr, 53, began his 38th professional hockey season playing for his hometown Kladno Knights in the Czech Extraliga, logging 10:08 of ice time in a 3-1 win over Vitkovice.
The former NHL star, who made his debut with Kladno at 16 and played 24 seasons in the NHL, including 11 with the Pittsburgh Penguins, missed the first 14 games due to a muscle issue.
He remains second on the NHL’s all-time points list with 1,921 and fourth in goals with 766.
Jagr, who previously owned a majority stake in Kladno, sold it in January to strengthen the team’s finances.
His return delays his potential Hockey Hall of Fame induction, which cannot occur before 2029.
