India's Ministry of Railways has completed 29,921 cleanliness drives nationwide as part of Special Campaign 5.0, generating ₹2,235 crore from scrap disposal, reclaiming 145,000 square feet of office space, and resolving over 137,000 public grievances.
The campaign, running from October 2 to 31, 2025, also involved reviewing 50,000 files, closing or removing 20,277, and holding 400+ Amrit Samvad sessions to engage passengers.
E-waste is managed separately, and scrap is being repurposed into models.
