President Droupadi Murmu will visit the Sabarimala temple in Kerala on October 22, becoming only the second Indian president to do so.
Arriving in Thiruvananthapuram on October 21, she will travel by helicopter to Nilackal and then by road to Pamba, where she will perform rituals before ascending to the shrine.
The visit, delayed from May due to Operation Sindhoor, coincides with a probe into the alleged theft of gold plates from the sanctum, with one arrest and nine others named.
Security is managed by the NSG, and the temple will remain open to devotees during her visit.
She will return to Thiruvananthapuram by helicopter and continue a three-day itinerary across Kerala.
