An Indian engineer was arrested for allegedly taking a $3,600 bribe to speed up a transformer installation.
An assistant engineer at Telangana’s Gandhamguda sub-station, Amar Singh, was arrested on October 18, 2025, by the Anti-Corruption Bureau for allegedly accepting a ₹30,000 bribe to fast-track transformer installation for an apartment complex.
The bribe was recovered during a trap operation after a contractor reported the demand.
Singh was produced before a special ACB court and remanded to judicial custody.
