flag Hawaiian Airlines will stop using its “Hawaiian” callsign on Oct. 29, 2025, as part of its merger with Alaska Airlines.

Beginning October 29, 2025, Hawaiian Airlines will stop using its historic “Hawaiian” callsign, replacing it with Alaska’s “Alaska” callsign as part of a merger integration. The change, effective at 00:11 HST, marks the end of a 96-year tradition dating to 1929. Flights delayed 90 minutes or more will switch to the Alaska callsign, while shorter delays retain “Hawaiian.” New flight numbers between 800 and 1299 will be introduced starting October 26, with routes assigned by region. On April 22, 2026, Hawaiian’s “HA” airline code will be replaced by Alaska’s “AS.” Despite operational consolidation under a single certificate, both brands will remain visible, including separate liveries, preserving Hawaiian’s identity while merging operations.
