flag Forty-four sick, matted terriers were rescued from a Pennsylvania RV amid neglect charges.

Forty-four small-breed mixed terrier dogs were rescued from an RV in Berks County, Pennsylvania, on October 16, 2025, after a tip led the Animal Rescue League of Berks County to investigate unsanitary conditions. The dogs, found dirty, matted, and in poor health, were removed with the owner’s cooperation. Thirty-eight were transferred to the Pennsylvania SPCA’s Chest Springs facility, six placed in foster care, and the ARL, already near capacity, reported operational strain. An investigation into the neglect is ongoing. The ARL is seeking volunteers, donations—especially bath towels—and adoptions, including a sponsored event on October 25 with Steve Moyer Subaru.
