Big cats from a raided Oregon park are recovering at a Minnesota sanctuary, with jaguar Louie making a remarkable comeback.
Big cats rescued from the shuttered West Coast Game Park Safari in Oregon are thriving at The Wildcat Sanctuary in Minnesota, following a May 2025 raid that uncovered over 300 animals, drugs, and firearms.
Among them, jaguar Louie, who arrived severely underweight and with a spinal deformity, has made a remarkable recovery, now climbing and playing.
The sanctuary, which cares for over 150 big cats, says animals are adapting well to naturalistic habitats and receiving species-specific care.
The rescue was prompted by public reports and law enforcement action.
