A 17-year-old from Norwalk was arrested for a Sept. 14, 2025, crash in Shelton that seriously injured a juvenile during a street takeover.

A 17-year-old from Norwalk, Jason Berrios, was arrested in connection with a September 14, 2025, incident in Shelton where a juvenile was seriously injured during a street takeover involving reckless driving. The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. in a parking lot at 862 Bridgeport Ave., leading to the injured teen being hospitalized and later released. Berrios, charged as an adult with reckless driving and evading responsibility, turned himself in, posted a $25,000 bond, and is scheduled for a court appearance on November 5. Shelton and Norwalk police conducted the investigation.
